Indonesia’s REDD+ Agency “will not be able to take any actions” says Ministry of Forestry Secretary General
On 2 September 2013, Indonesia established its REDD+ Agency. As with just about everything else to with REDD in Indonesia (with the exception of the dozens of REDD workshops that have taken place in Jakarta’s luxury hotels), the process of setting up the REDD+ Agency was delayed.
Corruption in Tanzania: President’s men took over, Norwegian aid money disappeared
In February 2013, Siri Gedde-Dahl, a journalist with Norway’s Aftenposten newspaper, investigated corruption in a REDD project in Tanzania funded by Norway. In a recent Aftenposten article, Gedde-Dahl reports that Wildlife Conservation Society of Tanzania, the Tanzanian NGO that was running the project, has collapsed.

REDD-Monitor recently received a message from IPAM International Program about funding support for the translation of key documents on REDD. The funding comes from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad).
