Ryan Mellor, Sales Director, RMT Direct Ltd: “I am not a co-director of Ecopush or at any time had any involvement with this company”

EcoPush, the Gibraltar-based company offering “investments” in carbon trading, biofuels, agricultural commodities and sustainable timber, has disappeared. REDD-Monitor wrote about the company in June 2013.

In December 2014, someone called “John Muir” left a comment on REDD-Monitor saying that the company’s website was no longer live, and that no one at EcoPush was picking up the phone.

In April 2015, “JH” commented that he’d received a “Company Shutdown Notice” email from EcoPush, that stated, “Our company has been dissolved and has shutdown.”

On 20 May 2015, “Mark Jones” left a comment asking whether “Ryan Mellor of Gibraltar [is] a co-director of Ecopush???”.

This morning REDD-Monitor received an email from Ryan Mellor. “I am not a co-director of Ecopush or at any time had anything involvement with this company,” Mellor wrote.

Indeed, Mellor makes no mention of Ecopush on his LinkedIn page:

But Mellor must have forgotten that he was director of several companies in the UK, including one called Spectre Financial Services Ltd (from August 2009 to April 2012). He also forgot about being director of a company registered in the USA called Spectre USA, LLC since May 2009.

The other director of both of these Spectre companies is Kenny Angell.

In 2011, by a strange coincidence, Kenny Angell registered a company called Ecopush SL in Malaga. Here’s a screenshot from Official Bulletin of the Commercial Registry in Malaga, 5 August 2011:

Today’s email wasn’t the first time Mellor has written to REDD-Monitor. In the interest of completeness, here’s the one-sided correspondence in full:

Hi Chris,
 
‎Very good website by the way and I have been following your website and related articles for a year now.
 
However the post by Ian Davies a former employee of Sceptre International is quite upsetting.
 
As you will also see there is threatening tone to the post. At the time the company went insolvent it took a few weeks to pay Ian Davies off for a months wages. ‎He was paid in full.

It got very nasty with numerous threats from Ian – an ex football hooligan who resorted to sending threatening photographs of himself with blood on his hands to my partner.
 
‎Sceptre worked on CDM projects, which became impossible to raise funds during this period with the state of the Carbon Market that had literally had crashed during the proceeding year which forced Sceptre to become insolvent.
 
The warrant for our arrest is certainly news to me and my partner. We have not been contacted by the authorities during the past 2 years.
 
In light of the threatening tone of this post to me and my partner. Can this one post be removed.

It refers to me writing stuff on this site?
 
I would like to say that I have had nothing to do with Eco push or any of its investment whatsoever or ever worked for the company – and on this basis I would like the blogs that refer to me removed from this site if possible.

RMT Direct does not provide customers to Ecopush or is a front for Ecopush or supplies customers to other carbon credit companies.
 
We sell online leads and generate IFA Appointments to around 30 or so IFA firms in the UK that are all FCA regulated. RMT does not offer financial advice or claim to do so on any of its websites.

Again Ecopush is not a client of RMT Direct nor is RMT Direct is actually Ecopush using RMT Direct as a front to attract clients.
 
They are all genuine clients (past and present) of RMT Direct.

How can such a job be so lucrative? I guess if you are supplying customers to scammers then it must be quite well paid!”

This is no basis for a link between RMT Direct and Ecopush.
 
The Directors of RMT Direct are not connected with Ecopush and are certainly not hiding behind a corporate veil.
Please can you remove these post(s), which are clearly defamatory
