The Accra Caucus recently release a report that looks at the development of safeguards in Guyana, Indonesia, Nepal, Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The report finds that “there are continuing concerns about the current direction of REDD+, especially in some countries”.
Harapan Rainforest Project: A response from Germany’s International Climate Initiative
On 18 March 2013, representatives of the Suku Anak Dalam Batin Sembilan wrote a letter to Germany’s International Climate Initiative and KfW German Development Bank, respecitively a funder and implementing agency of the Harapan Rainforest Project in Indonesia. REDD-Monitor recently received a message from IPAM International Program about funding support for the translation of key documents on REDD. The funding comes from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad).
