Financing REDD: New report from CIRAD recommends “sustained investments”
A recent report by CIRAD (La Recherche Agronomique Pour La Développment) sums up many of the key issues regarding REDD and recommends that instead of performance-based payments for reduced deforestation, sustained investment is needed.
Voting open for UN-REDD civil society observer
The UN-REDD Programme is currently in the process of appointing four observers from Civil Society Organisations to the UN-REDD Programme Policy Board. The CSO representatives will consist of one each from Africa, Asia‐Pacific, Latin America‐Caribbean and North America/Europe.
