Rio Branco Declaration: Governors’ Climate and Forests Task Force states and provinces “have received very little financial support”
Governors from 22 states have signed the Rio Branco Declaration, committing to reduce deforestation by 80% by 2020. If they receive a guarantee of “adequate, sufficient, and long‐term performance‐based funding”, that is.

Last week, REDD-Monitor wrote a post about a Marbella-based company called Carbon-Expert Ltd, which sells carbon credits to the public. The question, as with all such companies, is whether Carbon-Expert is another boiler room scam.

Carbon-Expert is another company selling carbon credits as an investment. As with other companies selling carbon credits, the question is whether this is another boiler room scam. Carbon-Expert’s website certainly includes potentially misleading information.
