The Financial Conduct Authority has charged five people with conspiracy to defraud. They are accused of promoting investment schemes in Madeira through a series of boiler room companies. The companies allegedly took about £2.75 million from 175 investors.

The International Civil Aviation Authority is currently considering how it can continue to expand while appearing to address greenhouse gas emissions from flying. Predictably, for a massively polluting industry with huge plans to expand, buying cheap offsets looks very attractive.

This week sees the Oslo REDD Exchange 2016. Previous REDD Exchanges took place in 2011 and 2013, and almost 500 people are attending the third REDD Exchange. The presentations are being live-streamed and posted on Norad’s YouTube account.
