Baron Traders Ltd: Another scam company offering carbon credits as investments
In November 2011, Richard Smith exposed a carbon credit scam company called Validated Carbon Credits in the blog Naked Capitalism. Validated Carbon Credits has since gone, but its parent company, Baron Traders Ltd is still selling carbon credits.

ITV series “Fraud Squad” investigates money laundering (and carbon credit crime)
At 9pm on 8 August 2013, ITV will broadcast a new series of “Fraud Squad”. Episode One includes footage of the arrest of Ian McDonald and David Downes at Heathrow airport. In April 2013, Downes became the first person in the UK to be jailed for his role in a carbon credit boiler room scam.
Corruption in Tanzania: President’s men took over, Norwegian aid money disappeared
In February 2013, Siri Gedde-Dahl, a journalist with Norway’s Aftenposten newspaper, investigated corruption in a REDD project in Tanzania funded by Norway. In a recent Aftenposten article, Gedde-Dahl reports that Wildlife Conservation Society of Tanzania, the Tanzanian NGO that was running the project, has collapsed.
